06:00 AM – Meet Your Guide in Bukit Lawang
Start early to catch the forest at its liveliest hour. After a short briefing, begin your peaceful walk along the Landak River trail toward Batu Kapal.
Morning – Birdwatching & Nature Exploration
Follow small jungle paths surrounded by lush vegetation, where your guide will help you identify birds by their calls and colors.
Keep your camera ready — early morning light offers perfect conditions for bird photography.
As you continue, observe other wildlife such as monitor lizards, butterflies, and macaques while learning about native plants used in traditional medicine.
Late Morning – Visit the Bat Cave
Explore the fascinating Bat Cave, where bats and swiftlets nest high inside dramatic limestone chambers. Your guide will explain the cave’s ecology and importance to the local ecosystem.
Midday – Jungle Lunch & Relaxation
Enjoy a simple Indonesian-style lunch by the river, accompanied by fresh fruit and mineral water. Relax, listen to the sounds of nature, and perhaps spot a hornbill soaring above before returning to Bukit Lawang.
12:00 PM – Return to Bukit Lawang
End your walk with a peaceful stroll back through gardens and small plantations, arriving in Bukit Lawang around midday.
