Wildlife Diversity
The jungle is a rich ecosystem with so much to explore. See the magical and endangered orangutan, but also look for white and black gibbons and Thomas Leaf monkeys. Let us know what animals you're interested in, and we will guide you to see hornbills, terrapin turtles, monitor lizards, and more. Learn about the critically endangered Sumatran tigers, rhinos, sun bears, and flying fox bats. We can discuss ways to help save these species while exploring their beautiful habitat.
The Jungle at Night
Explore the ways the jungle comes alive at night! Hike and listen to the hum of the nighttime world around you. Under the stars you will find everything from artful orangutan nests to sparkling insects. We can even look for tiger tracks if you're brave! Let us know what you would like to try and see.
1-Day Eco Jungle Treks
& Jungle Treks at Night
Sumatran Orangutans are critically endangered, with only ~7,000 left in the wild. Join us to visit them in their natural home. We will start our trek with a 1-hour hike high up into the jungle to observe orangutan up close. Stay and watch them glide through the branches, care for their babies, and feast on fruits. We will have a snack of fruits ourselves along the route, and can enjoy a cool and fun river tubing ride back to town!
Multi-day Guided Eco Jungle Treks
During the day, we will see orangutans and search for other rare and beautiful Sumatran animals. Plus, you get the unique and wonderful opportunity to spend the night in the jungle! You may see an orangutan make their nest for the night. We will start our trek with a 1-hour hike high up into the jungle to observe orangutan up close. Stay and watch them glide through the branches, care for their babies, and feast on fruits. Lunch is provided on the trail and a warm dinner is waiting when you get to camp. Listen to the animals and watch the stars at night. Finish the tour with a fun river tubing ride back to town!
