Option 1 – Bohorok River Tubing (Gentle Adventure)

  • Perfect for all ages & experience levels

  • Relax and enjoy the jungle’s rhythm on this fun, gentle rafting journey down the Bohorok River, known for its clear waters and stunning tropical scenery.

  • This trip uses eco-friendly “jungle-style” rafts — large, recycled inner tubes tied together by our skilled guides — a traditional and sustainable way of navigating the river.

  • You’ll float approximately 5 km downstream, passing lush jungle, local farms, and maybe even spotting monkeys or hornbills along the way.

  • A soft adventure ideal for families, couples, and travelers looking to unwind while connecting with nature.

  • 09:00 AM – Pick-Up & Start

    • Your guide will collect you from your accommodation in Bukit Lawang after breakfast and walk you to the river’s starting point.

    • Here, you’ll meet your local rafting team and receive a short safety briefing before starting your journey.

    09:30 AM – River Tubing Adventure

    • Begin your eco-style rafting trip along the Bohorok River!

    • Enjoy around 3 hours of floating and light paddling, passing through gentle rapids, jungle-covered cliffs, and peaceful stretches where you can simply lie back and enjoy the sounds of nature.

    • Your guide will make stops along the riverbanks to rest, swim, or enjoy a snack.

    12:00 PM – BBQ Lunch on the Riverbank

    • Halfway through the journey, stop at a beautiful spot for a riverside barbecue lunch, prepared fresh by your guides.

    • Savor grilled local dishes, fresh fruit, and tropical flavors while surrounded by the sounds of the rainforest.

    01:30 PM – Return to Bukit Lawang

    • At the end of the rafting route, your driver will take you back to your accommodation by air-conditioned car or motorbike, depending on group size.

    • The rest of the afternoon is free to relax or enjoy the riverside cafes of Bukit Lawang.

    • Licensed English-speaking guide & local assistants

    • Traditional “jungle-style” rafting equipment (inner tubes, rope, paddles)
