Itinerary (Day 1 – Day 7)
Day 1 – Private Transfer to Bukit Lawang
Your driver will pick you up from Kualanamu Airport (KNO) or any hotel in Medan.
Enjoy a scenic 4–5 hour journey through rural landscapes, palm forests, and small villages before arriving in the peaceful riverside community of Bukit Lawang.
After check-in, the rest of the day is free to relax:

Day 2 – Ethical Jungle Trek: Day 1
After breakfast (departure 09:00), begin your eco-conscious jungle trek led by licensed local guides and following strict wildlife-friendly guidelines.
Highlights:
Walk through rubber plantations and into Gunung Leuser National Park
Learn about rainforest plants, medicinal trees, and ecosystems
High chance of spotting wild orangutans, Thomas leaf monkeys, macaques, hornbills, and tropical insects
Enjoy fresh fruits, snacks, and lunch prepared by your guides
Arrival at your first jungle camp around 16:00. Swim in the river, relax, and enjoy a freshly cooked dinner.

Day 3 – Ethical Jungle Trek: Day 2
Wake up to jungle sounds and coffee by the river.
Continue deeper into the rainforest, exploring more remote areas and searching for shy wildlife such as monitor lizards, gibbons, toucans, and exotic plants.
Arrive at the second jungle camp around 16:00. Another riverside dinner and a peaceful night surrounded by nature.

Day 4 – Ethical Jungle Trek: Day 3 + River Tubing Return
After breakfast, enjoy your final morning trekking through the forest.

Day 5 – Eco Village Tour (Sustainable Community Experience)
Travel by becak (local tuk-tuk) to experience daily life in surrounding villages and support local families.

Traditional tofu production
Rice fields & rice milling center
Local coconut hut – enjoy fresh young coconut
Beautiful landscapes & friendly conversations with local people
A calm afternoon free to relax by the river or explore on your own.

Day 6 – Choose Your Eco Adventure
Option 1 – Bat Cave Exploration + Riverside BBQ (5–6 hours)
Walk 40 minutes to the cave area, where your guide will lead you through natural tunnels inhabited by:
Bats
Swallows
Cave crickets
Occasionally harmless snakes
After exploring the cave system, continue to the quiet Landak River for swimming, relaxing, and a delicious BBQ lunch (chicken or fish, rice, fruit).
Return to your hotel on foot.
Option 2 – Bohorok River Rafting + BBQ (4 hours)
