Day 1 – Arrival in Bukit Lawang (Gateway to the Jungle),Welcome to North Sumatra!
Your private driver will meet you at Kualanamu International Airport or your Medan hotel for a scenic 3–5 hour transfer to Bukit Lawang, the gateway to Gunung Leuser National Park.
Check in to your eco-lodge beside the Bohorok River and unwind after your journey.
If time allows, enjoy a short village walk, visit the Bat Cave, or relax by the river with a fresh coconut.

Day 2 – Ethical Jungle Trekking & Orangutan Encounter (Day 1 of 2)
After breakfast, begin your two-day ethical jungle trek in Gunung Leuser National Park, one of the most biodiverse rainforests in the world.
Trek 6–7 hours with your certified eco-guide in search of wild orangutans, Thomas leaf monkeys, gibbons, hornbills, and other fascinating wildlife.
Your guide will teach you about forest conservation, medicinal plants, and the delicate balance of the jungle ecosystem.
In the afternoon, set up camp near the river — a tranquil spot for swimming, relaxing, and enjoying dinner cooked over an open fire.
Evening: sit by the campfire, share stories, and fall asleep to the natural sounds of the jungle.
Overnight: Jungle Camp (simple bamboo shelter with mattress & mosquito net)

Day 3 – Jungle Trekking (Day 2) & River Tubing Return
Wake up to the calls of gibbons and tropical birds.
After breakfast, continue trekking through the lush forest, keeping an eye out for monitor lizards, tortoises, or colorful butterflies.
Enjoy lunch by the Bohorok River, then return to Bukit Lawang in a fun and eco-friendly way — by traditional river tubing (“Jungle Taxi”) down the river!
Arrive at your guesthouse by afternoon and relax with a cold drink overlooking the river.

Day 4 – Bukit Lawang → Berastagi (Highlands & Local Culture)
After breakfast, travel to Berastagi, a vibrant highland town nestled between volcanoes (approx. 3–4 hours drive).
On arrival, explore the colorful fruit market, famous for strawberries and passionfruit.
Afternoon options:
Take a ride in a traditional horse-drawn carriage (sado)
Visit a local Batak Karo village
Evening free to relax in the cool mountain air.

Day 5 – Sunrise Hike on Mount Sibayak & Hot Springs → Return to Medan
Rise early (around 4:15 am) for a sunrise hike up Mount Sibayak (2,094m) — one of Indonesia’s most accessible active volcanoes.
After a 90-minute climb, watch the sunrise over the steaming crater and enjoy breathtaking views of the Karo Highlands.
Descend and relax in the natural hot springs at the mountain’s base — a perfect reward for your efforts.
Later, have lunch in Berastagi before returning to Medan (3–4 hours drive) for drop-off at your hotel or Kualanamu Airport.
