Day 1 – Arrival in Medan → Bukit Lawang (Gateway to the Jungle), Welcome to North Sumatra!
You’ll be met by our friendly driver at Kualanamu International Airport or your hotel in Medan for a private 4–5 hour scenic drive to Bukit Lawang, the gateway to Gunung Leuser National Park.
Arrive at your eco-lodge on the banks of the Bohorok River, check in, and relax surrounded by lush rainforest.
If time allows, you can explore the village or visit the Bat Cave for your first taste of jungle life.

Day 2 – Ethical Jungle Trekking (Day 1 of 2)
After breakfast, begin your 2-day/1-night ethical jungle trek inside Gunung Leuser National Park with your licensed eco-guide.
Hike 7–8 hours through pristine rainforest, learning about native flora, fauna, and traditional medicinal plants.
Spot orangutans, Thomas leaf monkeys, gibbons, hornbills, and other rare wildlife as you trek through the jungle.
Arrive at your riverside campsite by afternoon — a peaceful bamboo shelter beside the river where your guides will prepare dinner over a campfire.
Enjoy swimming, relaxing, and the sounds of the forest before falling asleep under the stars.
Overnight: Jungle Camp (simple bamboo shelter with mattress & mosquito net)

Day 3 – Jungle Trekking (Day 2) & River Tubing Return
Wake to the calls of gibbons and birds echoing through the forest.
After breakfast, observe the area’s natural life — perhaps spotting monitor lizards, tortoises, or colorful butterflies by the river.
Continue your trek for 6–7 hours, stopping for lunch by the Bohorok River.
Then enjoy a fun, eco-friendly return to Bukit Lawang via traditional river tubing (“Jungle Taxi”), floating downstream through the rainforest.
Check back into your guesthouse and relax after your jungle adventure.

Day 4 – Bukit Lawang → Berastagi (Highland Adventure)
After breakfast, depart Bukit Lawang and travel approximately 3.5 hours to Berastagi, a cool mountain town nestled between volcanoes.
En route, stop at the Ghost Village, abandoned after Mount Sinabung’s 2010 eruption — a haunting yet fascinating look at nature’s power.
Arrive in Berastagi and check in to your highland hotel.
Enjoy the cool climate, explore the local fruit market, and sample fresh strawberries or passionfruit from local farmers.

Day 5 – Mount Sibayak Sunrise Hike → Lake Toba
Wake early (around 4:15 am) for a sunrise hike up Mount Sibayak (2,094m).
The 90-minute climb offers breathtaking views as the sun rises over steaming volcanic vents.
After descending, relax in the natural hot springs at the base of the mountain.
After lunch in Berastagi, continue your scenic journey to Lake Toba (approx. 5–6 hours), stopping along the way at:
Dokan Village – a traditional Batak Karo settlement
Sipiso-Piso Waterfall – an incredible 120m cascade overlooking the caldera
Arrive at Parapat, take the ferry across to Samosir Island, and check into your lakeside accommodation.

Day 6 – Explore Samosir Island & Batak Culture
After breakfast, explore the unique culture of Samosir Island, home to the Batak Toba people.
Visit:
Ambarita Village – see the ancient stone chairs and courtyard of King Siallagan
Simanindo Village – watch a traditional Batak dance performance
Panorama Parhalow – enjoy a scenic coffee break with panoramic lake views
Afternoon free to swim, relax, or enjoy a traditional Batak massage.
Overnight: Lake Toba

Day 7 – Return to Medan
After breakfast, take the ferry back to Parapat and drive to Medan (approx. 5–6 hours).
Depending on your flight schedule, enjoy an optional Medan city tour, visiting:
Maimun Palace – royal residence of the Sultan of Deli
Great Mosque (Mesjid Raya) – architectural landmark
Tjong A Fie Mansion – historical Chinese merchant house
Transfer to your hotel or Kualanamu Airport for your onward flight.
