Day 1 – Arrival in Medan → Bukit Lawang (Gateway to the Jungle) , Welcome to North Sumatra!
Your private driver will meet you at Kualanamu International Airport or your Medan hotel for a scenic 3–4 hour journey to Bukit Lawang, the gateway to Gunung Leuser National Park.
Settle into your eco-lodge beside the river and enjoy your first evening surrounded by rainforest sounds.

Join a village walk to meet local families and learn about rural life and organic farming

Day 2 – Jungle Trekking & Orangutan Encounter
After breakfast, depart at 9:00 am for your eco-friendly full-day jungle trek inside Gunung Leuser National Park.
Accompanied by your licensed local guide, you’ll search for orangutans, gibbons, Thomas leaf monkeys, hornbills, and other native wildlife.
Learn about medicinal plants and rainforest ecology as you hike through lush vegetation.
In the afternoon, enjoy a refreshing swim in the Bohorok River, followed by an exciting “jungle-style” river tubing journey back to the village.
Relax and unwind at your lodge in the evening.

Day 3 – Bukit Lawang → Berastagi (Highlands & Volcano Views)
After breakfast, drive 3–4 hours to Berastagi, a cool mountain town surrounded by volcanoes.
On arrival, visit the colorful fruit and flower market — famous for passionfruit, avocados, and strawberries — and explore local crafts.
Optional activities:
Take a short horse cart ride through town
Join a local cooking class or try Batak coffee at a mountain café

Day 4 – Mount Sibayak Sunrise Hike → Lake Toba
Wake up early (around 4:30 am) for a sunrise hike up Mount Sibayak (2,094m), an active volcano known for its steaming vents and breathtaking panoramic views.
After descending, enjoy a soak in the natural hot springs below — the perfect way to relax sore muscles.
At midday, continue your journey toward Lake Toba, stopping at:
A traditional Batak Karo village with wooden longhouses
The majestic Sipiso-Piso Waterfall (120m) with views over the caldera
Arrive in Parapat, cross the lake by ferry to Samosir Island, and check into your lakeside hotel.

Day 5 – Culinary Experience on Samosir Island
After breakfast, join a local family for a hands-on Batak culinary experience.
Harvest ingredients such as spices, tapioca leaves, and herbs from the village garden, then cook a traditional Batak meal over an open fire.
Share lunch together and learn about local food culture.
Afternoon: free time to swim, kayak, or relax with lake views.

Day 6 – Batak Culture & Island Exploration
After breakfast, embark on a cultural tour of Samosir Island, visiting:
Simanindo Village – enjoy a traditional Batak dance performance
Ambarita Village – see ancient stone chairs once used by Batak kings
Tomok Village – explore royal graves and Batak handicrafts
Return to your accommodation in the afternoon and relax by the lakeside.

Day 7 – Return to Medan & City Highlights
After breakfast, take the ferry back to Parapat and drive to Medan (approx. 5 hours).
If time permits, explore the city’s highlights with your guide:
Maimun Palace – royal residence of the Deli Sultanate
Great Mosque (Mesjid Raya) – iconic 1906 landmark
Tjong A Fie Mansion – a beautifully preserved colonial house
