Day 1 – Arrival in Medan → Bukit Lawang (Jungle Gateway), Welcome to Sumatra!
Your private driver will meet you at Kualanamu International Airport or your Medan hotel for the 4–5 hour drive to Bukit Lawang, the gateway to Gunung Leuser National Park.
Enjoy scenic views of rural villages, rubber and palm plantations along the way.
Check into your eco-lodge beside the Bohorok River and relax after your journey.

Day 2 – Eco Jungle Trekking (Day 1 of 2)
After breakfast around 8:30 AM, begin your 2-day/1-night jungle trek with your licensed local eco-guide.
Hike 6–7 hours through pristine rainforest in search of Sumatran orangutans, Thomas leaf monkeys, macaques, and hornbills.
Your guide will explain the rich biodiversity, forest conservation efforts, and local plant uses.
In the late afternoon, reach your riverside campsite — swim, relax, and enjoy dinner prepared by your guides.
Fall asleep to the symphony of the jungle in a simple bamboo shelter or dome tent.

Day 3 – Jungle Trekking & Return to Bukit Lawang
Wake up to the sounds of nature and enjoy breakfast by the river.
After some wildlife spotting, trek for another 3–4 hours through the forest.
Enjoy a riverside lunch before returning to Bukit Lawang the fun way — by “Jungle Taxi”, a traditional river tubing raft back down the Bohorok River!
Arrive at your lodge and relax for the evening.

Day 4 – Bukit Lawang → Berastagi Highlands
After breakfast, drive (approx. 3.5 hours) to the cool mountain town of Berastagi, located in the Karo Highlands.
En route, stop at the Ghost Village near Mount Sinabung — abandoned after the volcanic eruption in 2010, now reclaimed by nature.
Arrive in Berastagi, check into your hotel, and enjoy the crisp mountain air.

Day 5 – Mount Sibayak Sunrise Hike & Hot Springs
Rise early (around 4:15 AM) for a sunrise hike up Mount Sibayak, an active volcano offering breathtaking panoramic views.
After descending, relax in the natural hot springs at the mountain’s base.
Later, visit the local fruit market, famous for passionfruit and strawberries, and stop at a Catholic church with traditional Karo Batak architecture.

Day 6 – Berastagi → Lake Toba (Samosir Island)
After breakfast, begin the drive toward Lake Toba, the largest volcanic lake in the world.
Stop at Dokan Village, an authentic Batak Karo community, and at the spectacular Sipiso-Piso Waterfall (120m high) overlooking the lake.
Continue to Tiga Ras Port and take a ferry across to Samosir Island, the heart of Batak culture.
Check in to your lakeside hotel and relax.
Overnight: Samosir Island (Tabo Cottages / Zoe’s Paradise Waterfront / Labersa Hotel)

Day 7 – Cultural Exploration of Samosir Island
After breakfast, enjoy a full-day cultural tour of Samosir Island:
Visit Ambarita Village to see ancient stone chairs once used by Batak kings.
Continue to Simanindo or Tomok Village for a Batak Toba dance performance.
Lunch at a local restaurant by the lake.
Visit Panorama Parhalow, a scenic viewpoint for coffee and stunning lake views.
Return to your accommodation and enjoy free leisure time — perhaps a swim in the lake or a traditional Batak massage.

Day 8 – Free Day on Samosir Island
A day at leisure to enjoy Lake Toba’s tranquil beauty.
Optional activities include cycling, kayaking, boat tours, or simply relaxing by the lake with a book and a fresh cup of Sumatran coffee.

Day 9 – Departure → Medan or Airport Transfer
After breakfast, cross by ferry back to Parapat, then continue your private transfer to Medan or Kualanamu Airport (approx. 5–6 hours), or Silangit Airport depending on your flight.
